Aksdalsvannet is a lake on the west coast of Norway, in Aksdal, Tysvær, near Haugesund city. If you want you can paddle around the entire lake. It is a nice trip that is about 17 km. and gives you a nice nice workout, but you do not have to paddle that far to find nice places to swim, fish or just relax. There are a lot of fish in the water, and mainly trout.

If you like an adventure in wild and overwhelming nature and a good conversation around the campfire, this is the trip for you! The walk is from Mt Ulriken to Mt Fløyen. Starting from Mt Ulriken, you get great views of Bergen and the city fjord. We will tell you about Stavanger and the history of the vessel RS56 Olav Ringdal jr launched in 1952. It's a dramatic history during it's 30 years Search and Rescue periode. Onboard we also have the signature of Haakon the 7th, Norways first king after the liberation from Sweden. He inspected the vessel before it was put into operation back in 1952. Consider spending a day climbing the world’s longest wooden staircase. With its 4444 steps, Flørli is known to be one of the scariest stairs in the world. The climb is long and strenuous, but provides great lookout points where you can stop to catch your breath while enjoying the vista over the Lysefjord down below. This is a two-part hike that does not take you through the same scenery more than once. The descent follows the hundred-year old marked trail that was once used by the “Rallarer”. Rallarer were often underprivileged men that were employed in the 1800s Norway to help build infrastructure. They are remembered to have carried up to 80 kg loads on their backs, and are the ones that built the stairs along with the Flørli Hydroelectric Power Station at their base. The dam at Ternevatnet, which the return trail passes, also stands as a reminder of their mastery.
