Climbing the Osorno volcano is a great challenge and the perfect highlight of a trip to Patagonia. It is the perfect viewpoint over the geography of southern Chile. From the summit, we will not only take a deep breath but also enjoy the panoramic views of the Lakes Region and its volcanoes: Puntiagudo, Tronador, Calbuco, Casablanca, Puyehue and, with good visibility, the Lanin and Llaima volcanoes in the distant Araucania region. This is a glacier climb, physically demanding but not requiring any previous experience, although it does require a very good physical and mental condition. You will be in small groups. Only one guide for every two clients. All the guides working with us are local and certified mountain guides.

Chiloe is a land of elves, magic and traditions. On this excursion we will mainly visit Puñuhuil, which is a series of islets, full of life. You will learn a lot about how traditional life in Chiloe is and was during the last years. We continue our journey to Castro, the capital of Chiloe, to observe the traditional palafitos (houses built on stilts along the shore) and visit the majestic wooden church (an UNESCO World Heritage Site). We will stroll through town and stop at the crafts market featuring wood and woolen products from the region. In the late afternoon we will return to Puerto Varas driving along the eastern coastal road passing by several small fishing villages.
