Our surf instructors are certified by (ISA) international surfing association Beach rescue lifeguard and Institution Costa Rican of Tourism (ICT) Our mission is to educate inspire and empower people to a greater sense of awareness and knowledge through surfing. It is our job to help you feel comfortable, confident and have fun out there. Lessons can be 1 on 1 or for a group up to 12 people.

During the tour, you will visit the beach and see other amazing natural surroundings. You will have the chance to visit as well a hidden beach that only a few know in this area. Our local tour guide is very experienced having more than 20 years been working with horses and other animals. We have brand new horse equipment bought in July 2023. We do not organize big tours, only small groups so you can enjoy the tour 100%. This area is one of only five blue zones in the world! You will have to see as well the famous Isla Tortuga watching from Playa Organos.

Cabuya has one of the best intermediate surf spots in the country, this is a point break, this means the waves will break around the same area and has a channel to paddle out behind the waves. There are only a few places in the world where bioluminescence can be seen year round. And luckily for travelers to the Nicoya Peninsula there is one such place here. Bioluminescence is a light created by living organisms through a chemical reaction, biological light. In the gulf it is the algae that create this magical effect. Upon being disturbed, the algae give off a burst of light. Since there are millions of them it looks like sparkles in the water. The wavelengths are in the blue to green area and depending on the amount of algae it will appear as bluish or greenish sparkles. One of the best ways to see this phenomenon is to get a look from above, and kayaking is a great way to see it well. The algae will stick to your paddle, your hand or floating debris glowing for many seconds if you encounter a strong patch. When you kayak over shallow areas, fish will be scared up and it looks like fireworks under water as they take off, leaving a trail of “fairy dust” in their wake.

Our Isla Tortuga boat tour is a full day all-Inclusive activity. Spend a wonderful day at the beautiful white sand beach of Isla Tortuga. Enjoy a light tropical beach lunch, chill in a hammock on the beach, engage in a volleyball game or put on a mask and explore the coral reefs and its colorful fish. As a special treat, we also take you past another island that is inhabited by spider monkeys. When they come down to the shore, you can get a very close up encounter with them. This tour, which is all day from 9am to 3:30 pm, offers a lot in one package.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Small groups are operate in this tour Tour duration with roundtrip transportation from hotels to both tours and lunch are around 5 to 6 hours depending of hotel you staying Walking duration total are 2 hours roundtrip by the trails. Clients take a truck ride around 10 minutes one way to get to the hiking trail. 2 MILES (3 KILOMETERS) ROUND TRIP HIKE. Hiking is extreme and require good physical conditions, water shoes or sneakers (NO FLIP FLOPS). Brings towels, comfortable clothes, raincoat, insect repellent, sunblock, extra clothes and cash for extras. IMORTANT NOTE: Hike at the waterfall La Leona are really extreme because you have to climb stairs up and down the rocks and vines, streams to get to the waterfall.
