I am a local wine maker and owner of a winery. I was born here in one of Italy's most famous wine regions in Piemonte. I offer private and personalized wine tours from Milan. My tours will give you the chance to explore some of Italy's most genuine and authentic wineries. This is a wine tour to discover the real Monferrato: one of the most evocative areas of Piedmont, rich in history and great wines. The first stop will be a small organic cellar in the area where you will have the opportunity to meet the producer who will guide you in the discovery of his cellar, its wines and its history. After the first visit, I will take you to a restaurant in the area that I have selected where you can discover typical dishes of the renowned Piedmontese gastronomy. After a relaxing lunch break we will leave for another family winery where you will taste other important native wines such as Barbera, Moscato, Freisa, Grignolino. Throughout the journey we will be able to travel along panoramic roads and I will show you some of the most beautiful and fascinating corners of Monferrato. Furthermore, there will be time to introduce you to the main productions of the region, I will tell you about the main denominations and the various native and historical vines grown here.

We will start our day in the historical center of Neive, a small medieval hilltop town. One of the towns of the Barbaresco wine area and one of Italy’s top 5 most beautiful hilltop villages. We will sit down in a caffè with a warm beverage of your choice and will go over the area with the local maps to give a better idea of the regions, the grapes, the winemaking process, and what we will be tasting throughout the day. From there we will take a beautiful drive through the the hilly roadways that are covered in vines that brings us to our first winery stop, where we will see the wine making process, talk about some family history, and a taste of some of the family’s most precious wines. After we will stop in a medieval village for lunch at a small local spot, before heading to our second winery visit. We will then after, head back to our meeting point where you will be free to enjoy an aperitivo or dinner after the tour. The start time is at 9.30 and the end time is at 17.00

Together, we will explore the Piedmontese culinary tradition through a Tuscan lens, blending the techniques and flavors of two renowned Italian regions. We will prepare traditional tajarin, ravioli del plin, and the typical pici senesi, following authentic regional recipes. You will learn to make two distinct doughs: one with eggs for the Piedmontese pasta and one without eggs for the pici. Each preparation will be enriched by learning specific techniques, such as the delicate “plin” for the ravioli and the handmade method for the pici. The course will conclude with a seasonal dessert, completing the culinary experience with a sweet touch that reflects local tradition.
