You can take a boat ride in an underground river here! In Okatse we will walk on an impressive hanging bridge over the canyon (some adrenaline guaranteed! but nothing to be too scared of). One of the top highlights at Martvili canyon is the boat ride in the turquoise river, where you'll enjoy close views of the canyon & maybe spot fishes in clear river water. Note: in case of rain/snow Okatse Canyon is closed for visitors, and in such case itinerary would be modified and you would visit Nokalakevi Hot Sulfur Springs instead (no entrance fee). Note: Martvili boat service doesn't work, if the water level is too high or the currents too strong, usually it could happen in spring or after heavy rain.

Take a guided tour from Kutaisi to explore the hidden gems of the Imereti region. Visit the Katskhi Pillar, a 40-meter-high limestone monolith with a church on top. The next stop will be the mining town of Chiatura, once number 1 in manganese mining, and was renowned for its unique Soviet-era cable car system, which was installed in the 1950s to transport miners and residents up and down the steep hillsides. Believe it or not, until today cable cars are one of the main means of public transport for the locals. The old cable cars were changed to the new ones, but you will see some of the old cable cars, aka "flying coffins" hanging on the abandoned lines. You will take a ride on a new Chiatura gondola lift and feel like a local for some time. You will spot Soviet monuments and mosaics scattered around Chiatura, and also see typical soviet residential buildings. After a walk in Chiatura, continue to the Mghvimevi convent, which is carved in rock. In the evening return to Kutaisi.

Martvili Natural Canyon is located in Martvili Municipality. Visitor centre: Village “Inchkhuri”. 700m. circle stone pavement starts from the visitor centre and goes through Dadiani historical track. There are located 2 bridges, 3 view platforms, 30 steps historical staircase built by the big limestone boulder. The visitors can saunter by the boat on the river “Abasha” 300 m. long dinstance and get the pleasure by viewing the beautiful landscape of the Canyon.
