A very good Indian restaurant. The dishes are well-seasoned and pleasantly spicy. The service could be more attentive, even though the restaurant was full. Still 5 stars, price-quality is good. As I said, the food was excellent. Very disappointed by the food and the value for the price. I have seen the reviews and the recommendation online and I have to say that it is not worth it. I want to mention that I tried it before during one of the summer parties in the Maastraat and it seemed pretty good then. I have had indian food in many places including London where you can find some of the best curries. I ordered quite a range of food to try a lot of things and I was ok with the pricing since I was expecting a lot from online reviews. The food was not good and overpriced for the quantity. One of the samosa was burnt and the naans which cost 6euros each were so small that it was not possible to share. The kids’ chicken curry was not a curry but rather a saucy thing with a tiny piece of chicken inside. The dhal tadka was more like a soup. I am disappointed by the quality for the price paid. I am usually keen to support small businesses but all I can say is good luck to you but I am not coming back to get ripped off. Rasoi is one of the best Indian Restaurants I ate at in a long time. The only downside is that it's not located more in the center of Amsterdam, but it certainly is worth the walk there. Staff is the most friendly and caring I've seen in a good while. The food was tasty and plentiful. Lot's of flavour in the dishes and nicely presented as well, while not being as spicy as I thought it would be, but I guess that suits the taste buds of western people. Indian food is Ideal for sharing and Rasoi definitely takes advantage of it. The inside interior is nice as well, and outside terrace very cozy and quiet. The only feedback I can give is that they need slightly larger tables as there wasn't an inch of space left over when the food came. Also try some of their cocktails. I had an alcohol free Bombay Mule which was so good I had to get a second one. To Summarize: Best Indian restaurant I've been to, period! Highly recommend going and having a taste of India! PS. If you like to dine a bit more relaxed with some time in between appetizers and main course, please do notify staff as we saw that the mains arrived quite fast after the starters.

Amazing and authentic Indian food! Portions were big, we even took some leftovers home. It was a bit loud in the restaurant due to bigger groups. In any case, I would recommend!

Tasty and authentic Indian food, very friendly servers One of the best Indian restaurant in Amsterdam. The Puri is a very great start, fresh with mint sauce. Portion and price is reasonable for Amsterdam area, plus the flavour is very delicious. The waiter is friendly and keep joking with the customer. Be aware that the food can be bit spicy comparing with the spicy level in Europe. Overall, very good experience. Will come again for other dishes.
