This is going to sound weird... everything was very good but the rice was AMAZING. We had to ask how they made it because it was buttery and so gosh darn delicious. First time I have ever had olives to and I didnt regret it! Restaurant Olijfje was rated as one of the best-reviewed spots near my hostel, so I decided to give it a try for dinner. I was largely impressed — especially with how quickly my starter arrived. That said, and maybe I’m nitpicking here, I was a little surprised that my main course was served before I’d finished my starter. Normally, that doesn’t happen, and since the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time, it felt a bit unnecessary to rush things. Still, that’s a small detail. Overall, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try if you’re in the area — and for anyone wondering, the food is halal, which was a big plus for me. Best restaurant I ate so far in Amsterdam. Delicious meat and the Turkish flavors are insane. Quite insane will be visiting next time I fly over to Amsterdam. Amazing! The atmosphere was also really cool and the workers are so friendly.

Best restaurant I ate so far in Amsterdam. Delicious meat and the Turkish flavors are insane. Quite insane will be visiting next time I fly over to Amsterdam. Amazing! The atmosphere was also really cool and the workers are so friendly.

Wow! The food here was wonderful, plenty of gluten free options and the gluten free bread was delicious. The staff were brilliant, attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend having a visit. Fast service, no waiting and it's a really nice place to sit. I would definitely come back when we visit Amsterdam again.

This restaurant is absolutely awesome! Very friendly service, great place where you feel at home. Really delicious food. Honestly, the fish (grilled sea bass and the grilled salmon) with the side dishes was the best fish I've ever eaten. Really tasty! Absolutely recommendable! You must eat at this restaurant if you visit Amsterdam!
