Our Coffee Tour is more than just coffee… In this experience you will not only learn about the history of Guatemalan coffee, cycle through an organic coffee farm, taste samples of some delicious coffee. You will also discover one of the most emblematic artisans markets in Antigua, learn about traditional Guatemalan gastronomy, see how time and tradition had been preserved on their culinary recipes for hundreds of years. Please bring long pants to protect you from the mosquitos. The tour require a minimum of 2 people

During this tour we visit a local coffee plantation located in the nearby city of Jocotenango. From the office you will follow a local guide on the ATV’s for about a 15 minute ride to the coffee plantation “La Azotea” located in city of Jocotenango. Once at La Azotea, you will receive a bilingual tour of the plantation where you are able to learn and see the various processes of the coffee producing, making, and packaging that goes into serving a good cup of coffee. The coffee tour in the plantation lasts about 1 hour once finished you will walk around the plantation with the local guide to see check out the plants and you could also grab a drink or snack. Once finished at the plantation you will hop back on the ATVs and head over to "El Cerro de la Cruz" to visit one of Antigua’s most well-known and visited landmarks. After getting a close-up bird’s eye view of the colonial city, we hop back on the vehicles and head back to our office.

Coffee Tour Experience Begin your journey in the charming town of San Pedro Las Huertas, where we’ll visit the central park and observe the traditional pila (public laundry), still used daily by local families. From there, we walk toward the foothills of the majestic Agua Volcano, surrounded by lush landscapes and authentic rural life. Along the way, you’ll explore coffee plantations and also learn about other crops and wild plants that thrive in this fertile volcanic soil. With a local small-scale farmer, you’ll discover the artisanal process of coffee—from seed to cup—participating in every step. You’ll roast, grind, and finally taste a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee that you helped prepare. To end the experience, you’ll have the unique opportunity to purchase coffee directly from the producer, supporting local families and sustainable community growth.

The workshop is made to be fun and interactive. We want people to enjoy learning about guatemalan culture and the history of cacao. The chocolate is high quality and natural. We only use cacao, cacao butter and sugar. We also have a cafeteria where you can enjoy traditional food while you wait for your chocolate to freeze. There is also a beautiful garden to enjoy a hot chocolate o coffee.

If you´re looking for the best way to travel from Antigua to Lake Atitlan or, vice-versa, this is an excellent choice. These two beautiful locations are 2 1/2 hours apart. To make your trip comfortable and pleasant, all our minivans are equipped with A/C and reclinable seats. They are recent models with insurance for passengers and our drivers are friendly and well experienced. With our private one-way shuttle service, you can book our minivans exclusively for your family or group of friends. To make your time on the road less exhausted, the driver can do 1 or 2 stops along the road. There are good restaurants with small handicraft exhibits, and it might be a good idea to stop for some minutes, stretch legs, buy good cup-of-coffee, use facilities or shop for local products. This is a great option if you want to book a safe, comfortable and reliable transport.

On this tour you will be able to connect with an agricultural town, learn how the country people work, and of course learn about part of the coffee processes, where the coffee grower is an expert and will know how to connect with nature. You will know the processes of the farm, from which fertilizers are used, the treatment of the plants and you will live the experience with a local coffee grower. It will be explained how to make an ideal cup of coffee and you will learn how it is harvested within the area.
