The best place in town and highlight of our trip! We had here dinners two days in a row. One time we had fish and the other time meat. It was top notch. The barman is also experienced, made cocktails based on our requests. Trout and bison was the best. Everything was delicious, you can’t go wrong.

Last night, we tried this lovely restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The halibut dish was exquisite — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The lamb chops were a very generous portion and tasted excellent. The beef steak was also outstanding, cooked just right and beautifully seasoned. Our server, Sean, was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Over the course of our stay at the Otter hotel we stopped by this restaurant for brunch, dinner, and late night drinks. Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of most of the yummy food I ate. Would recommend the mussels and the fritters. The bartender made me a special cocktail which I loved as well! Service was great at each visit. Also loved the cozy ambiance.

I had the chance to visit Good Folk Bistro and Grill in Banff, and overall, it was a great experience. The location is absolutely fantastic—right in the heart of Banff with a beautiful open terrace and a perfect view of the surrounding mountains. The place itself has a classy, modern vibe that feels both cozy and upscale at the same time. I ordered the bison burger, and it was excellent. Cooked just right, juicy, and full of flavor. The bun was fresh, and the toppings complemented the meat without overpowering it. It was definitely one of the better bison burgers I've had, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a taste of something local and delicious. The servers were friendly, polite, and attentive, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. They made sure the service ran smoothly and checked in regularly without being intrusive. The only downside was the head waiter—a tall guy who seemed more focused on flirting with a group of male customers than doing his actual job. It felt a bit unprofessional and distracted from an otherwise smooth and enjoyable experience. That said, the food, ambiance, and location still made it a memorable visit. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others visiting Banff.

As a solo traveler, I find it’s always a good test to see how a restaurant treats you. The Good Folk did an outstanding job! The hostess was polite, friendly, and quick to seat me at the table I requested. The wait staff struck the perfect balance of attentiveness — checking in just enough and keeping my water glass full. I ordered a mocktail, the special cauliflower appetizer, and the West Coast halibut. Each dish was beautifully timed, well-presented, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
