Stopped into The Boss kitchen& bar tonight with my wife for our Anniversary. My wife enjoyed her spinach, dip and artichoke. Also, she had ordered the 6 oz sirloin steak 🥩 she says it was cooked to perfection. I myself enjoyed The Rib Eye 🥩. Chose to have it cooked medium rare like I always do and without no surprise the steak was cooked to perfection just like my wife's. The customer service was Top notch Carolina, very nice to talk to and also came back to check on us on how our meal was and very attentive. We also got to enjoy the dessert. The Nova Scotia blueberry cheesecake. It's to die for and honest to God. It was so tasty. You have to try it. The only thing that I have to say is I wasn't too sure how six mushrooms costs $6 that was a little bit much. But other than that, all in all I highly recommend you giving the boss, kitchen and bar. A try the next time you're in the town of Banff.

We had a very tasty rainy day meal at The Boss. I had heard good things about this newish Banff restaurant and as a local had been wanting to try it out for awhile! The service was excellent and Mariah did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed! My friend enjoyed the beet and arugula salad although said it was a bit light on the dressing. I thoroughly enjoyed the Boss burger and clam chowder! Great views of Banff Ave sitting by the window. Definitely reccomend and will be back!

I recently visited The Boss with high hopes after reading several positive reviews online. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite live up to the hype. To start, the service was okay — nothing outstanding, but our server was polite and generally attentive. However, the main letdown was the food. I ordered the steak, expecting bold flavors and a well-seasoned dish, but it was surprisingly bland and lacked the richness or depth you’d expect from a place with such a strong reputation. It felt like something was missing — salt, spices, or just overall attention to detail. Even more disappointing was the meal we ordered for my daughter. She got the chicken tenders, which she ended up returning because they were dry and lacked flavor. That was particularly frustrating, especially considering how simple and kid-friendly that dish should be. The atmosphere at The Boss was decent — clean, somewhat cozy, and visually appealing — but nothing that particularly stood out or compensated for the food experience. Overall, I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially after all the glowing reviews, but I left feeling underwhelmed. With some improvements to the food quality and flavor, I can see the potential, but as it stands, I probably won’t be returning any time soon.

We looked at Google reviews to find a dinner spot and decided on The Boss based upon the reviews. We weren't disappointed. The margarita pizza, avocado tacos, and my 9 oz steak were all excellent. The food tasted great and it was prepared perfectly. Our waitress Rhyll was excellent -- very friendly and the service was amazing. We gave her a 25% tip so that she can put it toward the purchase of a new Subaru lol. Thanks to your staff for great food and excellent service!

Delicious place for lunch/dinner, my partner and I got the prime rib sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich. The service was good, and the food was great. Fries were delicious, and did not take that long to put our orders out! Definitely would try other things on the menu if we had more time here in Banff!
