Stopped by The Tavern for a bite while in Belize City 🇧🇿. I like that they had lots of options for food and you could eat inside or outside, in a booth or high chairs. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and the staff is legitimately interested in making your experience unforgettable. Since you arrive until the moment you leave the restaurant, you receive attention and sincere smiles. The prices are good. My tip: the “King Kong” burger is for sharing! I was disappointed with Tavern during a recent lunch outing with my family. We actually found a nail in my niece's food. While they did apologize and offered to replace her Fettuccine pasta with a pizza, they charged us for the pizza. I believe it should have been free given the inconvenience caused. When I lived in Belize, we used to frequent Tavern. I'm not sure what has changed, but it just felt different this time. Personally, I don’t see myself returning anytime soon. Seriously, do better, Tavern. On a positive note, the server was amazing, and I won’t fault everyone for this unfortunate experience. However, I do think they could have handled the situation better.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, upon entering we was quickly greeted by staff and our orders taken promptly. The food was of excellent taste and speedy service, the venue it’s self has a nice vibe and looks similar to that of a European pub which was very suiting to the menu selection of food and drinks. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to those visiting Belize City for a relaxing drink and grab to eat!
