Arii Motu Grill

We wanted to visit the Motu and visiting this place turned out to be one of the very best days of our whole three-week trip! We came mid-morning and stayed til sunset, enjoying one of the best beaches in Bora Bora, checking out the ocean, having wonderful lunch and truly enjoying ourselves. Don’t hesitate to visit this place, who needs a overwater bungalow when you can just come here!

What a gem this place is! We felt so warmly welcomed by Arii and Paulina. Our kids loved playing on the beach with the dogs, the pigs, finding crabs and drinking out of fresh coconuts. Such pure joyful moments. The sunset was magical and dinner was unforgettable with the freshest lobster and fish. A truly authentic, beautiful experience and a memory we’ll cherish forever. If you’ve come that far, just do not miss this special place…. living life at its best! You might need to call in advance to book a table for dinner and order your menu, our skipper did. Although it seems like you can spontaneously come for the apéritif at the golden hour.

We came for drinks and an appetizer but wish we had time to stay longer. The greetings were wonderful, the drinks fabulous, and the atmosphere and beauty were priceless. We could have spent all day staring out into the cove from the soft white sand, fishing with the dogs, or finding coral and hermit crabs on the beach.

From A to Z, our stay with Arii and Paulina was first class. The warm welcome directly on the lagoon and even in Swiss German by Paulina delighted us. After a week sailing on a catamaran, the cold beer for an aperitif was simply a double pleasure. The beach and the sunsets were absolutely marvellous. We booked a table for the following day and enjoyed the delicious local food prepared by the whole family. many thanks to Arii and Paulina and the family

We loved this place so much, we ate here two days in a row! The mahi mahi was delicious but we think the shrimp curry was our absolute favorite. So, so good. Arii and his family were so welcoming and kind. We were sailing and had had a difficult Time finding places to eat (reports keep their restaurants for their guests). This place is opens their arms to anyone, from anywhere. They ask you to order a day in advance, so they know they have enough on hand and don’t waste ingredients. They are also cash only, so be prepared. Very close to the mooring balls and just a short dingy ride away. You’ll be invited to walk around the island, enjoy games and hammocks and just hang out & relax. They helped us arrange a water taxi one afternoon and it was much more affordable than other places we’d called. It’s really a family business- Arii’s dad drove us where We needed to go, and picked us up after. If we are ever back in bora bora, we will absolutely stop in again! Thank you!
