We will visit the corners of the city of Toledo, its narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter, the commercial area, craft shops and we will have time to do some shopping, the famous Primate Cathedral, headquarters of the Vatican in Spain. We cannot miss the mills of La Mancha, your guide will carefully explain how this engineering marvel works. Lunch will be in a traditional Manchego restaurant with a tasting of the most characteristic dishes of La Mancha, including the world famous Manchego cheese D.O.P. and Saffron. We will visit a very traditional style winery where wines are made in a very artisanal way, just as it has been done in La Mancha for hundreds of years.

Transport yourself back in time with your guide on included visits to magnificent monuments such as the Mosque of Cordoba, the Cathedral of Seville, and the Alhambra of Granada. This is a very unique activity because all products are directly sourced from around a village in the Castilla La Mancha área of rural Spain. Nothing you will drink or eat comes from city supermarkets, all from farm source. I’m Paul your private chef who travelled, cooked & ate my way around Spain. I design your menu with you ahead of time. Typical dishes could be 25 day old baby lamb or pig, bulls tail slowly cooked for 8 hours in wine n herbs from the land. Even River fish, or La Mancha egg plants, vegetables from my garden. I cook to Michelin star standard but I will never want a Michelin star as I refuse to work in a restaurant. Most star chefs on TV are rude and disrespectful to other chefs and kitchen staff (Mr Rhodes ). I only cook for you in my private home by the 10th century castle. I’ll connect the dishes to the history of the African people who built the castle over 1000 years ago: La Mancha Spanish farm cuisine with an Air of African Arabic influence.

An exclusive group tour to Toledo and the windmills. Very different from the bus tours for large groups that operate daily from Mad. This small group tour gives you the opportunity to visit the famous glowing-white windmills featured in Don Quixote, a reputable winery, and enjoy lunch at a restaurant with great manchego food and a fantastic Castilian atmosphere. You will be chauffeured onwards to Toledo´s city center where you will discover 2 historical monuments including its gothic cathedral and an outstanding lofty synagogue.  Average group size is 4 with a maximum of 7 people.  3 amazing experiences in 1 day!

After a comfortable one-hour coach ride, we will arrive in Toledo. We’ll head down to the historic old town to begin a guided walking tour through the city’s most iconic areas, passing landmarks such as the Cathedral, Zocodover Square, and the Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca, where we’ll have the chance to visit its interior. The city will undoubtedly amaze you. Once the guided tour ends, you’ll have free time to relax and enjoy lunch before we continue toward one of the most renowned wineries in Castilla-La Mancha. Head to a prestigious regional winery. Here you’ll enjoy a complete wine-tourism experience and learn about the art of winemaking in a unique setting—a distinguished estate surrounded by vineyards that grow some of Spain’s most prized grape varieties. Of course, we won’t leave without tasting a selection of their best wines, paired with a light appetizer. After the winery visit, we’ll return to Madrid, where the excursion will conclude near the Royal Palace.

This experience will include a private transportation from your hotel in Madrid towards Toledo. Once at Toledo, your driver will take you directly to the first winery. Enjoy a visit to two different wineries there. At each one, you will first join a guided small-group tour. Once the visit of the winery is done, there will be a group wine tasting. This same experience will be done at another winery at Toledo. There will also be some time for lunch (not included in the pricing). The area that we will visit is part of the Protected Geographical Indication Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla. Its wines are made by more than 200 Castilian La Mancha wineries exclusively with locally produced grapes, the most representative varieties being Cabernet Sauvignon, Bobal, Airén, Verdejo, Tempranillo, Syrah, Macabeo, Garnacha tintorera and Garnacha fina; but many other grape varieties are also grown, both white and red. Winery visits are in groups but the vehicle is private.
