Taverna Spillos is a gem! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed, with stunning views and a true Cretan charm. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We even received a complimentary dessert and raki, which was such a lovely touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine local dining experience! Absolutely delicious local food and such a warm welcome from Michalis. The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly, the lamb chops were full of flavour, and the Greek salad was so fresh. Loved the little glass of raki at the end - a really nice touch. Highly recommend! I was privileged enough to eat my way through Taverna Spilios menu during my 3 nights stay in Kavousi. After traveling 2 weeks around Western Crete, I can confidently say this is the best Taverna I was fortunate enough to experience. The hospitality is like non other; I felt like family by the 3rd night. The owners consistently stop by the table to ensure everything is satisfactory, and the staff is beyond kind. I highly recommend the rabbit stifado and the mousaka (best I had in Crete). Also recommend booking a seaside table to experience the epic sunsets. Thank you kindly for your hospitality, and I hope to visit again. Yammas!

Absolutely delicious local food and such a warm welcome from Michalis. The rib eye steak was cooked perfectly, the lamb chops were full of flavour, and the Greek salad was so fresh. Loved the little glass of raki at the end - a really nice touch. Highly recommend!

Food tasted great, and an amazing view. Unfortunately, our whole party got food poisoning from there :( It could have been either the beef (Special), or the eggs in the Ekmek (desert) as we all shared those. And we haven't eaten anywhere else that day. Probably just bad luck.. Owners, please be careful so this doesn't happen again.
