The sights / access points mentioned are options, not all can be seen in 5-6 hours, you can choose what you would like to see or tell us what exactly you would like to see. Not everyone who travels to the Seychelles has had the opportunity to visit the Rock Pool. It is not so easy to find, but we will guide you there. The Rock Pool is unique and the hike there is easy to do. It is a pleasant tour because you will already see a lot of Mahé on the way there and it can ideally be seen as a half-day tour. The hike takes about an hour there and an hour back. We spend up to about an hour at the pool. If the weather is good and the sea is shallow, you can jump into the pool (approx. 3-4 meters high, depending on the water level approx. 10 meters deep. You can also swim, bathe or simply relax in the pool. You also have the possibility (optional costs) to eat something in the region later, the whole thing is really very relaxed and also suitable for children from the age of 5. We have certainly walked this tour to Anse Major over 1000 times in the last 10 years and we are still fascinated by this beautiful hike to this day. In terms of outdoor activities on Mahé, this hike, which can also be described as a walk, is a highlight in the Seychelles. The guided tour to Anse Major is easy to do and can also be done in bad weather. You have a great view of various bays & the northwest of Mahé. The green nature in the jungle to be crossed is safe. Children aged 5 and over will also be thrilled, as there is so much to see and discover. We may even see a real flying fox up close and feed it. Anse Major is not accessible by car, you have to make a little effort, but you will be exceptionally rewarded. The way back can be done by Taxi boat at an optional cost. Bird species such as the Seychelles Bulbul or Blue Pigeon can also be spotted on the trail. The 'Mare aux Cochons' is a protected high altitude wetland with huge Hornes pandanus. A panoramic view of Beau Vallon and Belombre can be enjoyed within 30 - 45 minutes of the start of the trail. The Mare aux Cochons trail offers a sense of adventure, a chance to learn about Seychelles fauna and flaura and its history.

This is a wild and scenic coastal walk with views of waves breaking on the granite boulders. The first part of the trail is through patches of open woodland areas, small river valleys and over exposed, rocky ridges. Enjoy spectacular views across the sea over Silhouette and North islands. The trail continues over Glacis slopes, stretching above and below the path. The vegetation is mostly endemic and indigenous species, adapted to survive in such harsh conditions. Endemic birds such as Bulbul, Blue Pigeon Sunbirds may be seen. To get to the main beach, you must cross a small river outlet which emerges from a brackish water marsh. The sandy beach invites relaxation or snorkeling on the reef.
