My husband and I came here on my birthday and it was amazing. I had the lobster tails with a buttery coconut rice and wings as an appetizer. We did sit outdoors just to look at the beautiful view but beware, there are flies EVERYWHERE. The gentleman who helped us was so kind and was working by himself on a Friday night. Overall fresh and great food with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. Dwayne Wallas believes that this establishment can be best regarded as “not top notch but very acceptable.” Yet, I am not Dwayne Wallas. Blue Conch Restaurant and Bar is not top notch — it is above Dwayne’s idea of “notches” entirely. One fine evening in Exuma, I stumbled upon the Blue Conch. I had no understanding of the great tastes that would dwell within my mind for months to come. On that night in February, I was greeted by a fine young man who guided me through the glorious menu. My first course was the jumbo shrimp. Expectations. I must admit, my ideas of jumbo shrimp are not of the highest degree. I expected nothing more than a taste of overwhelmingly large shrimp that would leave me satisfied for the following course. I was instead granted the privilege of indulging in the finest pieces are large shrimp I have ever tasted. They contained every aspect of the perfect shrimp: fresh yet not fishy tasting shrimp, a lightly fried outside that provided a soft crunch without the thick oily flavor fried food often has, and a glorious mix of spicy and sweet sauce dazzled upon it. My taste buds yearned for more. I digressed upon to my final course in a short amount of time. The Jerk Chicken Platter. Close to divine. I enjoyed every aspect of this “collection.” The plate consisted of golden plantains, a bright red sliced tomato, coleslaw, caramelized onions, perfectly green sliced avocado, rice, and, of course, the jerk chicken. I closed my eyes and felt pure joy throughout the five minutes I tried to resist completely gobbling down the whole meal. I made combinations of the many aspects in the platter, introducing my palate to colorful new flavors. Afterwards, I felt a combination of despair, melancholy, and awe; I did not know whether to be sad that it was over or happy that it happened. I left with this thought in mind. For the following days and nights of my life, the thought of the experience I had at Blue Conch has stayed with me. The memory of listening to the calming Bahamian music while tasting incredible flavors has made my days warm and my nights fuzzy. Whenever I feel discomfort or confusion, I remember Blue Conch: a restaurant that rhymes with simple, pure joy. This was probably my favorite meal during my visit to Exuma , the waiter was awesome , young kid , very polite and accommodating, I felt bad because he was running all night , it seemed like it was only him , but he did a fantastic job , outdoor seating was perfect , food was great , highly recommended coming here and giving this place a try , one of the only place actually open past 5 pm daily .

Visited in March 2025 with my wife and it was a great experience. The manager and owner are the best, and both very hospitable. The waiters on duty ensured prompt service. The atmosphere is family-friendly and gives island vibes. You can see through the windows right out to the beach. Both the indoor and outdoor space are great.

Amazing dinner & service. We had a party of 7 and we were served faster than any meal on the island. I'm surprised at some of the reviews on here. The chef came out to see how everything was. I thought the bahama mama meal was a great deal too. It included a drink! They had a nice range of meals & prices. My husband had the lobster mac & cheese which was a huge portion. They even gave us a sample dish of a new recipe they are working on. We'll be back!
