I had a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday at Plataran Menteng. The service was exceptional, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was absolutely lovely. My sincere appreciation goes to all the staff who made me feel so welcome and comfortable—it definitely makes me want to return! I was also pleasantly surprised with a delicious klepon cake accompanied by a thoughtful, personal note.

Celebrated my birthday here for the sole purpose of “napak tilas j-hope” and was not disappointed! I was greeted very warmly from the very first start even with the valet service. The waiters and waitresses are all so nice and served us well. Special shout out to mas Sam who have catered my friends and I’s requests, must’ve took hundreds of pictures until we’re satisfied. And mas Kahman who have been so kind to j-hope when he visited and telling us beautiful stories about j-hope that we can’t help but shed a little tear! p.s. the rujak juhi is to die for! no wonder j-hope ordered more servings. All in all, the experience is immaculate. A birthday well spent

From the moment we stepped into Plataran Menteng, we were captivated by its exquisite yet cozy ambiance. The interiors strike a perfect balance between elegance and warmth, making it an inviting space for both intimate dinners and celebratory gatherings. The food was outstanding. We especially loved the Plataran signature telur asin platter, which was rich and indulgent. The Dendeng Batotok offered a delightful crunch and depth of flavor, while the Ayam Dwarmawangsa was a refreshing mix of savory and tangy. The Gado-gado was a comforting classic, beautifully presented and well-balanced. Service was superb. Sam, our server, was incredibly attentive and helpful—he patiently explained the menu and even gave us a tour of the restaurant, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. Overall, Platara Menteng delivers on all fronts: delicious food, impeccable service, and a stunning setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy refined Indonesian cuisine in a beautiful space.

Delicious Indonesian food. The crispy fried beef and the short-rib were amazing, and all the salted egg treats had that lovely, punchy bite of salted egg flavor (which a lot of other places skimp out on). Atmosphere was wonderful. A wonderful home with a sophisticated but cozy ambience. If anything, I wanted to have seen more of the house. Service was fantastic. Staff was kind and friendly, and we were given a ride back to our hotel. Would recommend for anyone visiting Jakarta.

The place is absolutely gorgeous. I had the ox tongue satay, perfectly cooked, curry sauce was perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. I sat on the ground floor at first, but my host, Sam, was incredibly kind to give me a tour around the establishment. I then had my dessert on the rooftop, which was the perfect way to end my stay in Jakarta.
