We had a fantastic meal here, and the staff were so attentive. They were very keen to be part of our meal and explain what we were eating. The wine on choice was fantastic and they had some lovely French wine. The white burgundy was always a winner. There were some lovely breads and the sauces were delicious. The shredded carrot was well spiced and it paired well with the breads. There were some great choices on the menu, I had the lamb and requested it rare. It was a brilliant size portion, and it was beautifully cooked. The others on the table were very impressed with the food choices, but I thought my choice along with the tender loin was the best. The pudding options were brilliant, I had the mud slide and I was very impressed with the rum ice cream that came with it. A very good fusion of Jamaican and European cooking styles.

…to be honest my review is going to be the same as everyone else’s. The service here is exceptional. The food, the people, the vibe, the environment. Very very welcoming. Dwight and Kaneisha (spell check) were very kind and warm. Jerk rolls, special of the day (jerk snapper) and other dishes that were compliments of the chef. Came for the oxtail ravioli but they were out of it. The others dishes made up for that. — pricey but very much so worth it. Not to mention they have some of the best rum punch I’ve had on the island. Pull up here for an elegant experience. Be sure to dress the part too. In conclusion I highly recommend you eat at Sugar Mill.

Sugarmill is a beautiful tranquil spot. Greeted promptly and professionally. Seated outdoors which we thought was a great idea for the ambiance of the place given time and sunset occasion etc... turned out not to be the best idea as the assortment of bugs proved to be a bit of an issues landing in the food etc. Seeing that some in my party were struggling with this I was surprised no one asked if we would like to relocate inside. Aside from that the food was delicious drinks were unique and out of this world. Beautiful place and worth the drive over from out resort for the food, drinks and view.

I visited The Sugar Mill restaurant in Montego Bay based on a TikTok review, feeling both nervous and apprehensive as it was my daughter’s birthday. I have to say, the restaurant and the service exceeded every single expectation by far. A massive shout-out to Daniel and Ackeem, who both delivered impeccable table service. The experience was flawless down to the smallest detail — from the complimentary birthday cake offered to my daughter, to the thoughtful check-ins from both the Assistant Manager and the Chef. Did I mention the scenery? Absolutely breathtaking — truly one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever dined in. And finally, the food… exceptional. 10/10 across the board. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend The Sugar Mill to anyone looking for a fantastic restaurant in Montego Bay.

We were very excited to try this resturaunt as it was highly recommended by several staying at our resort in Montego Bay. We frequent the fine dining quite often, everywhere we go, and this place did nothing but disappoint. Service we found to be terrible. We spoke to our waiter twice during our 1.5 hour dinner. He took our drink/food order in the beginning and barely came back to check on our dinner, or if we wanted any more $18 drinks. He finally came back and we ordered a second round of martinis, and then we waited almost 30 minutes to get them. And they looked like they were sitting around for at least 15 minutes. The resturaunt was not busy by any means. For the money spent at this establishment we were very disappointed. A place that is expensive should have expensive service, and this place just did not. Food was not terrible, but average at best. Definitely not worth the $253 bill, nor the $50 taxi ride to get there. There is gratuity already added to the bill, so maybe that is why service is lacking.
