Booked for dinner in the birdsnest with 3 friends and unfortunately was quite disappointed. The table we had was right in the corner of the restaurant where only 3 people could fit so the last person had to sit on a chair which was too high for the table. We were able to move to a table under the canopy which was better - unfortunately there were a lot of bugs for an hour but not the restaurants fault. The cocktails were disappointing - espresso martini tasted like instant coffee which you wouldn’t expect for the price. Service was extremely slow. We had to call staff over multiple times to order food and drink. Our empty glasses and starter plates weren’t cleared. Our starters took 1.5 hours to come. We had fish tacos and truffle spaghetti - both were nice. Waiter gave us 10% off the bill for the bugs (we didn’t request this) which was very nice of them. However this only covered the 10% service charge which I would have been begrudged paying since the service was so bad. Really beautiful decor in a nice setting but I wouldn’t return due to service and cocktails standard not matching the price.

Lovely setting for watching the sun go down. Nice modern restaurant. Food and cocktails were good, the meal was quite expensive, but we did have 3 courses, sides and a few drinks.

Although I was initially hesitant, it turned out to be one of those rare hidden gems that truly exceeds expectations. The ambiance is simply enchanting, quiet, intimate, and ideal for a romantic evening. It’s the kind of setting that allows you to relax, unwind, and enjoy a memorable meal without distractions. As for the food? It’s nothing short of fantastic. The dishes are thoughtfully crafted, avoiding any over-the-top gimmicks, and focusing purely on flavor and quality. I couldn’t help but order the beef tacos twice. They were just that irresistible! The prawn tapas were another standout: fresh, tender, and packed with incredible flavor. Admittedly, the menu card itself might not immediately grab your attention. However, don’t let that deter you, the taste and experience more than justify it, creating a truly delightful culinary adventure. To complete the evening, the cocktails were expertly prepared, offering a perfect blend of sophistication and indulgence. If you’re in the area and in search of a cozy, romantic escape with exceptional food and drinks, this hidden treasure should be at the top of your list. It’s an experience I’ll fondly remember and wholeheartedly recommend.
