Getting Around
Getting around Koh Tao is relatively easy and part of the adventure. Longtail boats are the primary way to reach secluded beaches and snorkeling spots. For exploring the island's interior and main roads, renting a scooter is popular, but be cautious as roads can be steep and unpaved. Taxis are also available, usually shared songthaews (pick-up trucks with benches). Walking is feasible within the main villages like Sairee.
