Getting Around

Getting around Kotor is quite straightforward. The heart of the city, the Old Town, is best explored on foot as it's largely pedestrianized with narrow, winding streets. For exploring the wider Bay of Kotor, local buses are an affordable option connecting nearby towns like Perast and Herceg Novi. Taxis are readily available but agree on a fare before your journey. Renting a car offers flexibility for exploring further afield, though parking within Kotor's walls is impossible and outside can be challenging in peak season.
