stumbled across this place near Shijo Sanjo, and wow — what a find! The Wagyu burger was insanely good — juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the quality of the meat. They also have halal options, which is great if you’re looking for that, plus some tasty steak and ramen dishes on the menu. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a cozy, relaxed vibe. It’s also really convenient — just a short walk from my hotel. If you’re in Kyoto and craving Wagyu, burgers, steak, or ramen, definitely check this spot out. Totally worth it! 🍔🔥🇯🇵

if you’re thinking about going here and want a TRUE and HONEST review, continue reading. I am traveling from overseas and this place appeared as a “highly rated” recommendation so we wanted to give it a try. i was genuinely surprised to see the prices on the menu once i sat down. they give you a booklet explaining “their story” and how the wagyu is top quality. we ordered their burger and wagyu bowl - our total came out to $120. i’m expecting top quality meat since it was so expensive. when the food came out, the server goes “would you like a picture together?”, we politely declined but what was the point of that? when it comes to the food, it was the most mid burger i ever tasted and the meat on the bowl was served warm, not even hot. it came with soup which tasted okay but i was expecting so much more for the price that we paid - the portions were small. it does seem like a huge tourist trap if you want me to be honest. i feel super scammed after leaving this restaurant, the ambience itself is very simple, nothing fancy… The service was ok but i left feeling disappointed and overcharged. they even asked to leave a good review at the end of the dinner which honestly made it feel more like a tourist trap. i felt like i had to finish the food given the price i paid for it :(

I got the Wagyu steak bowl. Delicious. Great way to experience incredible Wagyu. Halfway through I asked for an extra egg for the rice. Great service. Super friendly. Halal was an added bonus. Why not, right? I was at Shijo Sanjo location. On second floor in alley. Seems more casual burger spot, not greatest interior but who cares? Food was incredible.

Okay, let’s talk about that cheeseburger. Absolute perfection. The patty was insanely juicy — you could literally taste the richness of the Wagyu beef with every bite. It had that buttery melt-in-your-mouth vibe, but still packed with flavor and a perfect sear. The cheese was gooey in all the right ways, the bun was soft but didn’t fall apart, and the balance of textures was just chef’s kiss. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting a burger this good from a Japanese restaurant, but they clearly know what they’re doing. Everything tasted premium and fresh. 10/10 would go back just for that burger again.

Wagyu Soy Sauce Ramen was very good. Just the right amount of saltiness and umami was through the roof. Server took time to explain the restaurant history a bit and was very friendly. They also gave a free ice cream mochi for dessert. Those looking for a halal restaurant in Kyoto should definitely come here
