This city served as Nicaragua's capital several times after gaining independence from Spain in 1821, alternating with Granada until Managua was declared the permanent capital. Our adventure begins with a visit to the stunning Basílica Catedral de la Asunción, the largest cathedral in Central America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll then explore the Ortiz-Gurdián Art Gallery, which boasts an impressive collection of works by renowned Nicaraguan artists, as well as international masters like Picasso, Chagall, and Miró, & Latin American legends such as Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, Fernando Botero, and Roberto Matta. Next, we'll embark on the Flor de Caña tour, a captivating journey through six interactive stations where you'll learn about the production and history of one of the world's most awarded rums. Guided throughout, this 1.5-hour tour includes a tasting of Flor de Caña 18 & a complimentary drink of Flor de Caña 12.

León has always been one of the most important cities of Nicaragua; it functioned several times as the capital city after the Independence from Spain.
