Michelin Bib Gourmand for a reason. I’ve eaten here every time I’ve flown to London and I highly recommend this spot to everyone who visits. I found Bao on the Michelin Guide and after trying it the first time, I understand why they’re a Michelin Bib Gourmand. The staff is efficient, attentive and accommodating and the food is savory and delectable. Every time I’ve eaten here, the food has been delicious and as consistent as the first time I ate here. After trying every Bao on the menu, I can confidently say that you cannot go wrong with any of them. The Baos are fluffy and soft, and the proteins are all so flavorful, and tender. My personal favorites are the Classic Pork Bao and Fried Chicken Bao. Regarding the rice plates, I’ve only tried the Steak Rice with the cured egg yolk. This is only because this plate is amongst my favorite dishes I’ve had in London. The steak is always juicy and tender and the rice, perfectly seasoned and rich. All together with the cured egg yolk this is a perfect dish. Highly recommend this place andgetting a reservation here as the walk in queues can be quite long This place was great. It’s on the Michelin list. We walked in on a Friday and there was about a 30 minute wait for 2. All the dishes we tried were good, but I loved the steak rice, mackerel bao, and daikon bao. The ambience is also nice - it’s a very cozy/intimate restaurant. Good service as well. Reasonably priced. Would come back. Best BAO I've ever had in my life. Perfectly fluffy and super tasty. The attention to detail makes the dishes so presentable. The prices are pretty high for the portions you get, but the quality is high and the place has been a Michelin recommendation for many years. So, totally worth it! Also, this place is perfect even for solo customers.

The dry aged beef rice was wonderful, however I wish there's an option for a larger portion size. We also ordered fried chicken and mackerel bao - all the deep fried items were very fresh and well done. Staff was also friendly, definitely coming back again. The seating is a bit tight and cramped.

Second time here in back to back days and highly recommend the great food but even better service. The beef bowl is phenomenal, excellently-cooked steak slices that goes well with egg yolk. A bit too much rice in the pig blood pudding but otherwise tasty. All baos are great but my favourite is the mackerel bao. I was served by Everson on day 1 and Yen on day 2 - they were both so accommodating! Yen let me walk in for dessert 10min pre-closing 🙏🙏 would come back again for sure!
