Led by local naturalist guides who know Punta Uva by heart, this tour offers ethical wildlife encounters and a calm, authentic way to see sloths in the wild. Guided by Elmer, Esteban, and Juanito, our friendly Costa Rican team combines professional training with real field experience. You’ll learn how the rainforest ecosystem connects with the culture and history of Talamanca while exploring hidden beaches, forest trails, and Punta Uva’s turquoise coastline. On most days we see both species of sloths, plus turtles, monkeys, and colorful tropical birds. Every tour is relaxed, educational, and 100% respectful of wildlife, no cages, no feeding, no forced encounters. The bioluminescence tour begins at 5 p.m. at Curú Beach, from there we depart on a motor boat on a 15-minute trip to the Tortuga Islands to enjoy a white sand beach without other tourists from other tour companies. We share a snack of fruits and soft drinks while watching the sunset and the turquoise sea. We have offered a quality tour since 2000. We are direct descendants of the founder of the Curú Wildlife Refuge. We invest in a conservation and management project of the different ecosystems within Curú and in the Paquera Responsible Fishing Area. Clients can arrive to Curú early in the afternoon to enjoy nature and wild animals within Curú, you can enjoy monkeys, deer, coatis, iguanas and other wild animals. We offer an interactive tour where you can bathe in the sea at night with bioluminescence.

Bijagua is a unique town in a privileged location. We have access for this tour limited to a certain number of people per day so as not to affect the natural habitat of the animals. The tour is personalized to each group depending on the time you have. Each guide on this tour is trained to offer you the most accurate information about the biodiversity of Spring Paradise Bijagua. You decide what time to leave: 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:30 pm or 2:00 pm

The activity takes place at the end fo the day so you will enjoy the transition in the rainforest so you can see incredible wildlife we have to discover. You will walk for about 1 hour with daylight and 1 hour in the darkness of the forest. Our natural trail offers the opportunity of finding sloths birds such as toucans frogs, snakes and some other things hidden in the forest.

Curi-Cancha is a paradise for bird watchers. The resplendent quetzal, the three-wattled pavilion, the blue-crowned motmot, the orange-bellied trogon, and many others are frequently seen. In fact, more than 200 species of birds have been observed making their home in Curi-Cancha. Common sighting mammals include armadillo, coati, agouti, kinkajou, ocelot, two-toed sloth, and three species of monkeys: howler, white-faced capuchin, and spider monkey.
