We had a good time — there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots of sweet shops like ice cream and drink stores. However, the area does have a strong smell of urine coming from the nearby alley. Fantastic. Great energy and vibes. Tons of stores to walk around dip in and out for food and drinks etc. Absolutely terrible parking but that seems fairly standard here. Crowd during weekends, less people on weekdays, however, it’s indeed many restaurants & cafe, shopping malls & food courts, easily to spend hours to walk through & choose your favorite restaurant & cafe.

Chinatown Melbourne is a vibrant and culturally rich part of the city, full of energy, colour, and amazing food. Located right in the CBD, it’s easy to find and always lively. The streets are decorated with traditional Chinese elements, and there’s a great mix of restaurants, shops, and dessert places. You can find authentic Chinese cuisine here, from dumplings and hot pot to roast duck and street snacks. There are also many Asian supermarkets and bubble tea shops. It’s a great place to visit during Lunar New Year when the decorations and celebrations make it even more special. The atmosphere is fun both day and night, and it’s perfect for a casual meal, a food tour, or just walking around to enjoy the lights and culture. A must-visit if you’re exploring Melbourne!
