We visited Gimlet to celebrate a special occasion during our short stay in Melbourne, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The food was truly spectacular, every dish was beautifully prepared and full of incredible flavor. What really made the experience unforgettable was the service. Our waiter, Álvaro, offered exceptional, attentive, and genuinely warm care from start to finish. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. Absolutely recommended

We went to Gimlet last night to celebrate my husband's birthday. From the minute we walked in last night until we left we were impressed. We had a consummate professional waitress named Rina. She was very knowledgeable, professional and very exceptionally helpful especially with my adult daughter's anaphylaxis to nuts. The food was delicious. Everything from the Garfish Gilda to the white asparagus to the steak. It was all fantastic. The atmosphere, the food and the service from Rina was all exactly what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. I cannot recommend Gimlet enough. Thank you for a memorable evening x

Came here for lunch. Food: you can go with set menu or ala carte. Great thing about this place is that if you're dining alone, they provide half portion for the main and sides. I had the ala carte menu - zucchini flower, raw scallop, tenderloin, potatoes, and salted honey tart. Absolutely delicious. There are good selection of cocktails too, including classic cocktails not listed in the menu. Services: really great. Attentive and explains the menu very well, including checking in for any dietary and allergens requirements. Ambience: awesome. Great for lunch or dinner, and even supper. Overall a wonderful dining experience!

A must visit in Melbourne. We were so lucky they were able to fit us in for lunch! Fully booked for lunch! Bookings are essential. Everything from start to finish is perfect. From the host (with the biggest smile) sitting us at the chef's table, the bartender making the best cocktails and the chefs cooking the most delicious food. This was our 2nd visit and there will surely be more to come, and each time, the food was outstanding. We will continue to recommend Gimlet to friends and family visiting Melbourne.

The finest of service by all teams from the kitchen, concierge to the wait staff. All immaculately trained to delight customers. Food was delicious and beautifully plated. Kudos Gimlet! What a wonderful experience and will be back again for sure when I’m in Melbourne. Thank you.
