Fine Dining refined. Thats the first impression one gets as you step in (visited the versova andheri outlet) to this lovely introduction to South Indian food heaven. Ambience is soothing and instantly comforting as they bring on a platter of various chutneys and sauces, patiently explain how does one pair with various dishes. Starters to Main Course is outstanding, sadly for me leaving no place for dessert 😔. Next time around will start with the dessert 😀🎉

Tanjore Tiffin Room is located near Versova Beach, adjacent to WTF. We tried Vada and Paneer Pepper for starters. For the menu course they offer different curries to taste and you can order veg,non-veg,swa food accordingly. Along with curries we had Appam,Parotha,Lemon rice and Steam Rice. For a wholesome experience do try their food. Also reservation is recommended as the place is full all the time.

One of the best food experiences I've had in Mumbai, their mini gunpower idlis are bomb, the idlis being soft and consistent with their texture. The surmai was very well cooked and the sampler helped us pick and customise our choice of curry for the same. The experience is worth everything! Good drinks menu too.

I’ve been coming to Tanjore Tiffin Room, Versova for years — it used to be one of my favorite places. But ever since the owners stopped managing it directly and left it to a manager, the place has completely lost its charm. We ordered food and cocktails, and both were disappointing. The taste of the drinks was bad, every cocktail was messed up, and the food wasn’t great either. The waitress seemed completely untrained — she asked us to pass our own plates and spoons, didn’t clean the space, mixed up orders, and didn’t apologize. The service was pathetic, and the overall experience was a huge letdown. It’s sad to see such a once-loved place fall apart like this.

Frankly the simple but elegant ambience just made us love it on the first visit. The flowers kept on the table gave it the must needed South Indian vibe. I won't comment or recommend any particular dishes since it was our first time and no dish of ours disappointed. On top of it our server Willy who was from Goa definitely made it more lively and enjoyable for all of us. Just visit and You won't be disappointed.
