It was so good to find a lunch menu that had decent food and portion. Munich has some really good food if you’re a meat lover! This one had vegetarian options. We had ginger pumpkin soup with wasabi nuts. Very flavourful. Their Wien Schnitzel was delicious okay. Portion was very good. Not as thin as some other places in Vienna but it was still tasty and not dry. What can I say! This place was delicious for traditional Bavarian cuisine. The Traditional Bavarian pork roast came with a potatoe dumpling and a bread dumpling and every bite of the meal was mouthwatering. Highly recommend this dish and restaurant. Absolutely loved this place & staff so much that we went back twice, on two consecutive nights. After sightseeing in Marienplatz, we finished the day with beers and great traditional food. Tim, the manager, and staff were friendly, warm, receptive, and enjoyed having us as guests. Tapped a keg at 6pm. Great place in a Central Munich-cheers to the wonderful staff!

Great Bavarian atmosphere and less well known than some of the big houses; makes this places a great place to visit and discover. The vibe of the antlers and deep green colors made this place feel super homey. Server was a bit abrasive, started us off by telling us he’s had a bad day and needs drinks. He then placed a massive schnapps bottle on our table to try to upsell us (or conversely upsell the neighboring tables). Was a bit strange, felt like we were going to be hosed. Otherwise beer selection was pretty incredible, probably the best of the Munich beer houses! Wiener schnitzel was fantastic, super crispy, without being greasy and perfectly tender! Paired super well with the potato salad and cranberry jam! Will definitely be back to this spot!
