Local Mykonos

That was the first restaurant we tried in Greece, and it gave us lots of surprises! We ordered the mixed grill, which included four kinds of meat. It was very tasty and had no muttony smell. The pork and lamb were especially delicious—the meat was chewy and grilled over charcoal. There was no burnt layer on the surface, but the marinade had fully permeated the meat, making it extremely flavorful! The homemade yogurt sauce was also very tasty. The chocolate dessert given by the restaurant was rich and delicious, and the small cookies used as decoration were wonderfully crispy. Harry, who served our table, was very nice. Thanks to his help, we really enjoyed our first meal in Mykonos!

To clear up any confusion regarding what is halal or not, the waiter said that the beef steak and chicken gyros are certified halal. All other items on the menu including the lamb are not. I ordered a chicken gyros and the others had a lamb and chicken spit. The gyros meat was really nice and was accompanied with a small salad and some pita bread pieces. The gyros meat was cooked really well and very tasty. The spit again came with salad and fries. Both items were generously portioned. Service was very good and the waiter seemed honest. Would go back.

This is the BEST place to eat in Mykonos especially if you’re looking for QUALITY GREEK FOOD, at extremely fair prices. We were not let down at all, the food was exceptional, so was the service and the atmosphere. It’s a 20 minute walk from Fabrika but so so worth it! Thank you to Harry who served us, he was extremely helpful and attentive, guided us with the menu, and fantastic service - we really appreciate your help and kindness. For mains we ordered to share - the lamb chops by the kilo (1kg) which came with chips, the gyros mix of pork and chicken which came with chips tzatziki and pitas. We ordered for starters the tzatziki dip with pita bread, feta cheese pastries incredibly delicious, the homemade Mykonian sausage which came with chips, and we also ordered 2 beers a bottle of water and a coke. Everything was delicious, fresh and cooked to perfection. The chips are also hand cut and fried, they’re not frozen chips which I absolutely loved The amount of food we ordered could have honestly fed about 4-6 people, but we were extremely hungry and were craving big portions of meat, plus we’re on holidays ;) This 110% exceeded our expectations and we were so happy we came! We spent 96 euro for all the food and drinks mentioned above. We also came back the following day and ordered the spit meat which usually runs out by about 6pm!

We visited Local Mykonos several times and absolutely loved it. The chicken gyros and the fried feta were more than perfect – fresh, tasty, and unforgettable. Our waiter Harry was extremely friendly and made great recommendations. Highly recommended!

Went here my first night in Mykonos, the food & staff were amazing! They took us into the kitchen to learn more about how the food is prepared & were very accommodating even with the language barrier! The chicken gyro (I had the plate not the wrap) was so good, the bbq flavor is perfect & the meat is so tender! Special thanks to the staff who were so kind and welcoming 😊
