The lakes are generally small and studded with scruggy (yep, I made that word up) little islands and there just seems to be more beaches than any other place we offer tours. I try not to make much fuss about the wildlife because it’s just not something we can guarantee on a trip, but every night we listened to coyotes singing or owls hooting or beavers splashing about. This trip strikes a fine balance between rugged adventure and relaxing bliss.

This trip is best suited for families with children under 10 years old, or folks who are on a tight time budget, or folks who want an adventure with less commitment to activity. This is a fully guided 2-day backcountry canoe adventure. No experience is necessary, minimal to no portaging, suitable for everyone. This trip isn't a backcountry slog- our main focus is time spent at camp, so this is especially perfect for young families or folks who have limited time and want to relax. I highly recommend this trip if you have young children! Our Keji Canoe Trip will begin with a rendezvous at our headquarters at Jake's Landing. We'll repack your items in our waterproofs, have a quick lunch (we provide this!) and then take off into the wilderness. This trip is best suited for experienced paddlers who enjoy lots of hard work, difficult wilderness travel and extremely remote camp- sites. This 5-day canoe trip was created for the adventurers out there who are looking for something a little more out of the ordinary. With the extra day we're able to push out of the park and into the mysterious Tobeatic. This trip has long days (and portages!) and a lot of hard work but the rewards are truly amazing.

Drive along the forest service roads through the beautiful mountains of Cape Breton. Learn about the mountains, the people who worked in them from the past to the present, and keep an eye out for moose and other wildlife as you make your way to North River Falls, the highest falls in Nova Scotia. Leave the Jeep at the trailhead and walk (with your guide) 15 minutes down an ATV trail to the lookout, where you'll enjoy a beautiful view of this triple-decker falls. There's an option to hike to the bottom of the falls for intermediate-advanced hikers, or you can choose to explore more hidden gems in the Margaree Valley. If heading back to the valley to explore: Hike out, hop in the Jeep, and head down into Margaree Valley to discover scenic gems only found with a local guide! If hiking to the bottom: Continue 30-40 minutes down the mountain to the base of the falls to get a better look and feel the spray of the falls up close, then make your way back up to the Jeep and head out.

We will spend the day investigating the various vineyards where you can take in the beauty and sample their unique offerings.
