We came here twice for breakfast, another time for lunch and a fourth time for dinner. The breakfast was good, it comes with a fried banana. The latte art they provided was amazing. The meat Empanadas (plantain banana tortillas) were delicous. Love the sweetness of the crust. During dinner, they gave us a free fried banana type donut and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place. The food was amazing, we got mole, omelettes, chicken soup and Oaxaca hot chocolate. You could easily go for breakfast lunch or dinner! The staff was sweet and the food was a great price for the portions. The decor is also very cute, we ended up buying pom poms for our home as well. We’ve eaten here three meals in a row and plan to go to breakfast again. The food is fantastic, the staff is friendly, it is reasonably priced, there are several menue items that are vegetarian, and the atmosphere is great. There is public parking one street over, so it makes it easy to get to. They also have a bathroom you can use, which tends to be rare elsewhere.

The food was amazing, we got mole, omelettes, chicken soup and Oaxaca hot chocolate. You could easily go for breakfast lunch or dinner! The staff was sweet and the food was a great price for the portions. The decor is also very cute, we ended up buying pom poms for our home as well.

Definitely some of the best food we have had in Oaxaca and unique to the region of Taniperla. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. We had quesadillas made with plantain (platano) and camote (purple root crop), that were so delicious and unique. We also tried the green mole, which worked perfectly with the pork medallones and had a nice mild flavor. The drinks were fresh and the margarita was good. The menu has lots of items, but the Taniperla specials stand out. 4.7 for food and 4.9 for service, 4.5 for atmosphere.

Ordered quesadillas with quesillo and mole negro, with a glass of jugo de pasión. Excellent! And I appreciate La mesera being patient with my basic Spanish. A memorable dinner. And I was happy to see so many vegetarian choices
