Puerto Natales is a remote location to put it mildly, so to find a Michelin Star quality restaurant here was completely unexpected. In fact the restaurant exceeded my experiences at many Michelin Star restaurants I’ve been to in the past. My salad with goat cheese, pears, carrots and sasparilla dressing was beautiful to look at, but even more delicious to eat. I’m not a salad guy in general, but I ate every last morsel. Likewise was my grilled octopus was incredible, and the portion was huge. I’m used to getting a very small portion at most restaurants. This starter was big enough to be an entree, or an appetizer for two. My entree the first night was the ribeye steak which as you’d expect in this part of the world was perfect, and perfectly rare. The desserts are a topic unto themselves. I’m not sure who the dessert/pastry chef is, but OMG! They’re reason enough to go back over and over. We have 2 more nights here and I’m already thinking about what I want to order. And BTW The Singular Hotel itself is a world class resort, and as the name implies, truly unique and staffed by an incredibly welcoming and polished and professional crew. If you’re in the Puerto Natales area, definitely grab dinner or a drink the restaurant at the Singular Hotel. The atmosphere is awesome, and the food was great! And for the quality of the experience, it was also reasonably priced (in my opinion). Rude, Unwelcoming, and Completely Unprofessional Hands down one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. We walked in, weren’t greeted, and sat at the bar ourselves. No one even acknowledged us for a solid 15 minutes. The dining room was completely empty (see photo), but we were told we couldn’t eat there because we weren’t hotel guests—as if that somehow makes us less deserving of decent service. We settled for drinks because the bar menu was nothing but sandwiches. The waitress took our order and then basically disappeared. No refills, no check-ins, just blatant disregard. The cherry on top? As we stood inside waiting for our taxi, one of the front desk staff had the nerve to come over and question us like we were loitering—for simply staying warm inside their lobby. The message was loud and clear: if you’re not a hotel guest, you’re not welcome here. Unfriendly, unprofessional, and downright rude. Do yourself a favor—go literally anywhere else.

Excellent food, atmosphere and location. Highlights are the old factory turned restaurant and museum setting, traveling on the funicular from lobby to restaurant, great food and the view
