This was my last restaurant in Penang before going home to KL and it was definitely a great ending to my trip. The food is phenomenal, the lamb and the duck with pear and grapes paired so well together and the truffle mushroom soup was very delicious and the Hokkaido scallops were perfectly tender. The service was amazing and shoutout to Naik for the attentive service. He made friendly talk and definitely made the dinner unforgettable. The dessert was also very good and the tiramisu was really nice! The bartender is also very talented, even though I didn’t drink cause I had to drive but the yuzu mint mocktail was a great drink to pair with everything!

The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic which suitable for dating. The service is very good, I specially thanks Usman serving us , ordering for us and help us taking a nice pictures. The most important are the food which we ordered. Even though this restaurant are the best in steak, but we ordered their chicken and pasta. It is amazing! The chicken is super tender, even the breast part are so juicy! The sauce are well mix. The pasta is very special, the sauce is very little of salty and some sour taste, so you wont feel heavy on this. In overall, we enjoy the food, environment and the service. Thanks Usman staying very alert on giving the best serving.

Best experience in this restaurant. Our server, Naik, was very professional, genuinely helpful, and friendly. We ordered the Truffle Fries, Lamb Rack, Stone Axe Aus Full-Blood Sirloin, Firewood Risotto, and the Firewood x Johnnie Walker Gold Label Tiramisu. Everything was perfect, nothing failed us! The steaks were insanely juicy and tender with condiments that paired perfectly. The risotto? The best we’ve ever had — rich, flavourful, and absolutely mouth-watering. And the tiramisu was the perfect finale to our lunch — light, smooth, and completely satisfying. Thank you Firewood for making our anniversary extra special ♡

Although the taste of food is subjective at least for me this place serves the best steak. The ribeye was fantastically tender and soft. Done exactly do the medium that I like. My partner had the halibut fish with trucks really juicy. The desert was a tiramisu which was saturated with whiskey. Sorry Muslim friends This is truly a non halal place. Will come back again when I'm back in Penang. This has to be my first stop from now on.

Let’s start with the most important part: the steak. Our waiter, Naik began by bringing out a tray of different raw cuts and explaining each one in detail. Naturally, we went straight for the Japan A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Ribeye. It was absolutely heavenly, melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of rich flavour. I usually choose medium rare (as all of us should), but Naik suggested going for medium because A5 wagyu has such a high marbling score and can become 'jelak' if cooked too rare. That recommendation truly made a difference, and I ended up learning something new. We also ordered a foie gras and two sides, and every item was beautifully prepared and tasted excellent. The ambience was classy and comfortable, and the open-kitchen concept with the firewood flames added an extra layer of appeal, making the whole dining experience feel warm and engaging. Naik was attentive throughout, checking in at the right moments and making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, the vibes, and the service. It is an easy 9.5 out of 10 from me, and I am someone who is extremely stingy with ratings.
