This was something truly unique and special! They have two restaurants next to each other, a casual dining place that does Czech classics, which was full when we were there - and then next door a quieter room for the tasting menu. We took the wine flight with the tasting menu, and were very impressed with the service. For every course we had a choice of wine of different styles, and the waiter was happy to talk through them all. They were generous giving it out too. He displayed genuine knowledge and was able to understand our wine preferences. The food itself was exceptional. In each case taking a single aspect of the Czech environment or tradition and then playing with it in a modern way. The tartare steak was a highlight - heritage breeds - combined with quail egg. We also enjoyed the range of Czech spreads and butters, which really did us allow us to try so many different flavours. We must have been there 3 hours, so it was a full evening of entertainment, an excellent way to relax after a day out as a tourist. Had a wonderful lunch on Sunday with my wife. We chose an early reservation due to flying home later on that day which sadly meant we were the only people in the restaurant section. We respected the 5 course menu with wine. All 5 courses (plus the amuse bouche) were stunning. Beautifully presented and cleverly created. And more importantly very tasty. Particular thanks to our two servers - one who presented the food and one who had presented the wine. Their expertise, knowledge, professionalism and passion was great to see. Overall, a fantastic restaurant that I would highly recommend. And pretty good value too considering what you get. My congrats and thanks to the whole team…I hope to return one day. This place is highly recommend but i would also recommend booking as it's not very big and seems very popular. Once seated, the service was great, although the guy on the front desk almost turned us away and wasn't too helpful. I had to point out to him that there was an empty table after he said they were full. Once inside though, the service was superb and the food matched. Great choices and presented beautifully

My family, fiancé, and I had the pleasure of dining at Czech Slovak and absolutely loved it. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu, and every dish was delicious - authentic, comforting, and full of flavor. It genuinely reminded me of the food I grew up with, which made the experience even more special. The staff were welcoming and attentive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant has a cozy charm, perfect for a relaxed meal with family. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Czech and Slovak cuisine done right!

This is the 5th night in Prague, we wanted to try another good Czech restaurant. Found this highly rated restaurant within walking distance from our hotel. The server, Jan, greeted us with warmth and welcome. He offered us samples of local beer and wine while we made our dinner selections. We had the goulash and duck confit. The duck was super tender and delicious. The goulash was also very tasty. We loved the delicious food and the atmosphere! The price is very reasonable, overall a delicious dinner and very good value! We will revisit the next time when we are in Prague.
