A Culinary Gem in Queenstown – Simply Exceptional! We’re traveling from the US and have enjoyed fine dining in many countries, but this experience in Queenstown was truly exceptional. From the moment Damian, the owner, greeted us with warmth and genuine enthusiasm, we knew this evening would be special. We tried the special of the day whitebait along with venison, mushroom, and prawn dishes — each one perfectly balanced, full of depth, and bursting with flavor. Katlyn, our server, was gracious, attentive, and added a personal touch that elevated the evening even further. The Mango & Ginger Mule and Penicillin cocktails were crafted with artistry and flair. Every element — from the presentation to the passion behind each plate — reflected world-class standards. Truly, this restaurant deserves a Michelin Star and all the praise it receives.

We were looking for somewhere to dine in when we saw this quote: “Life is a collection of moments.” Just like that, we collected a bunch of great moments at this lakeside restaurant. The food was right up there for me. We had the Creamy Mushroom Fettuccine and Fish of the Day while sharing a few tapas. Every dish and drink was packed with magical flavour and cooked just right. You could tell the chef and bartender put real care and effort into them. We cleaned our plates! Vinny was an absolute gem: warm, welcoming and full of good chat. She made us feel like locals, even though we were just passing through. Service like that makes all the difference. Owner and the lovely Czech lady (sorry we didn’t catch their names!) were full of energy and character. Their top-notch service and bubbly vibe really lifted our dining experience. Right by the lake, cosy setup, and a great spot to wind down after a day of exploring. Good food served by great people: what more could you ask for? Thanks so much, Momentos team! We’ll definitely swing by again next time we’re in Queenstown.

Full house on our arrival and our table wasn’t yet ready but Damian was a fantastic host and was able to get us a temporary seat outside to order a drink which he gifted on the house for the wait. Food came out promptly and was delicious, service was lovely and an overall great experience for our first meal in Queenstown! Also the views and location were incredible, definitely recommend.

Great place for brunch and breakfast. I tried their award winning lamb sandwich for breakfast. The bread was tasty and the lamb cooked to perfection. The 🥔potatoes were crunchy and really complimented the rest of the food. You're also next to the lake so you have the view of the mountains while having your food. It's also close to the shops and the other Queenstown attractions.

I ordered the grilled venison. I was hesitant at first due to the brown centre but it was still very tender and juicy. The reduction was especially delicious, the sauces and other components of the meat dishes are all very good. Happy hour has some good deals. Server was very attentive and informative. Apparently the whitebait will be out for some time, so the menu should probably be updated soon. Outdoor tables have a clear view of the lake.
