Loved the food — it reminds me a bit of Bar Totti’s in Sydney. The taramasalata and lamb cutlets are a must-try. The view is incredible, right on the water, and I’m sure it’s breathtaking all year round. The tables by the window are all two-seaters, while the four-seater tables are set further back and usually booked. When we arrived, we naturally wanted a table closer to the window, but while we were still deciding, the waiter said, “You don’t have to stay if you don’t want to,” which felt a little odd. Hence the four stars for service. Soda High above Queenstown’s rush, Soda floats in a pocket of calm. The chef’s choices arrive like small poems—hummus whipped cloud-light beside warm flatbread, olives glistening like dark gems, croquettes crisp with tangy goat cheese. Roasted eggplant and squash carry whispers of smoke, but it’s the rainbow carrots that steal the night—sweet, caramelized, a painter’s palette made edible. Dessert lands softly: crème brûlée cracked open to reveal raspberry compote and cool crème fraîche, a crown of pistachios for texture and grace. Each bite feels unforced, quietly confident. Soda is the city’s exhale—a rooftop refuge for slow forks and full hearts. Amazing service from an English gentleman who made our night! We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share — lamb cutlets, sausage, cheese balls, and calamari — and every single one was faultless. The food was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Perfect location with an incredible view. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

We had a fabulous time at Soda, we went on a friday and they had a DJ on. The waiters were lovely and food was divine, especially the goat cheese croquette, which we re-ordered as it as so delicious! Also had the octopus, the seafood paella (amazing) and the market fish. As for dessert, we had the brulee - one of the best brulee we had, and the black forest cocktail, a hot chocolate with a twist, super recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Soda Restaurant! The place is stunning, elegantly decorated, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation—a moment of sharing and conviviality. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and our table hosts: James and Mia were fantastic. They took the time to recommend dishes, suggest wine pairings, and engage us in a friendly welcome conversation. A big thank you to the entire team. The dishes were delicious and perfectly executed. We will definitely be back and won’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.
