The food and service at Raices were top-notch. Dinner here was included as part of our HX Galapagos cruise. They provided a choice of 3 options for appetizer, main course and dessert, plus wine. All courses were beautifully prepared and we appreciated that the portion sizes were just right. Their menu focused on locally sourced foods. The atmosphere was elegant but in a contemporary, understated way. My favorite part of the meal with the trio of desserts sampler.

I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant — the food was incredible, but what truly made it special was the service. Juliana and Maria Gracia were both so kind, welcoming, and attentive. I left feeling full, happy, and already looking forward to coming back. Thank you both for making it such a lovely experience!

The atmosphere is beautiful. The decor and music submerges you in an elegant way into Ecuadorean and South American culture. The staff is dressed so nicely with South American touches. Now, the food. Exquisite! Each dish has flavors of Ecuador and/or South America. Each dish we ordered was presented by a server to explain what the spices, herbs, and cooking method was to bring the dish all it flavors. All of the food tasted so fresh and was so resonably priced. I highly recommend Raices!

Our server, Juliana, was wonderful, as were the manager and the other serving staff. The food was outstanding, at once delicious and beautifully presented. The grilled octopus and lamb were amazing. The cacaotal dessert was a beautifully crafted chocolate mouse that melted in the mouth. Highly recommend this restaurant.
