Such a lovely restaurant. We enjoyed the Kapak Rami menu in mid-March and were served by Rick, who was great. He explained all of the dishes in great detail and was happy to answer all of our questions. He greeted us at the door with an umbrella which was very kind. The food was so creative and unique. Standouts on this menu for us were the corn, the sweet plantain, cuy, and the rose-geranium/plum sorbet, but it was extremely hard to pick favorites. The whole menu was lovely and we left full, but not overly so. It was a generous and satisfying amount of food. The keepsake passport is a clever touch. I have never kept notes while dining out but I will certainly make a habit of it now! Rick finished it with a stamp and a Polaroid photo which ended the experience on a lovely note. We also really loved the music they played and the cocktails were great too. I would highly recommend visiting!

This place is so amazing. The food is beautiful and delicious. The experience is great. It's like having a staff of chefs just for you. They explained each of the 10 courses as each was paired with a different wine. They accommodated for my shellfish allergy and had a vegetarian option as well.

This place offers a 10 course meal, initiating with a few starters, then working up to 3 levels of dessert. The courses can be paired with wines, which I highly recommend. The food was fusion of modern local cuisines, all with a seasonality of ingredients. The staff was absolutely wonderful, well prepared, very friendly, very informative. It was a very relaxed atmosphere, and the experience is really engaging. Afterwards, you get your "passport" which is also awesome!

I normally don’t write restaurant review, but this place deserves to be shout out very loundly. We had a really amazing experience with both service and food. Rick explains every dish with enthusiasm. The guy is simply adorable. There is another lady there whose name I did not get. She is so lovely and took really good care of us. As to the food, I must say that it’s very impressive. Very inventive with surprise tastes and very well combined. It’s a privilege to have their tasting menu. I’ll remember it for a very long long time. One of the best meals I have ever had. PS. The wine paring is excellent!

Very nice place, atmosphere and service. However, for 90$ set menu and 30$ wine pairing (both pp) it was quite disappointing. Let me elaborate. The first starters were interesting. However, the more we progressed, the more disappointing the meals were. More specifically, within the mains, the pork and beans one, the trout ceviche — in itself intriguing but the trout was too bland to make it interesting — and the ribeye — too slowly cooked and not tender, though the side with the egg yolk was nice — were all nice but to some extent boring, with flavors too subdued for such a high end restaurant that was the best Ecuadorian restaurant in 2023. The pre-dessert was also way too lemony and very bland otherwise. The wine pairings were also nice but with too subdued flavors (for my taste). Overall texture and appearance of dishes were really nice; but flavors combinations and overall taste left to be desired, given the price, in Quito.
