Also the restaurant is interior is inspired by Japanese decor. We were lucky our guide recommended this place, because it hadn’t come up in our research from home. We will definitely come back to this unique gem the next time we visit Quito. Book in advance is required for security! A guard will ask for your name in the door. This was the best food that I ate in Ecuador and I spent two weeks dining at the best restaurants. The dishes were absolute masterpieces, not just in the incredible way the food was presented but also the meticulous blend of flavours and textures. It was unreal! It’s easily some of the best cuisine we’ve ever tasted. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and welcoming, with tasteful decor and stunning views of the city that added a special touch to our dining experience. We had the most wonderful meal on our last night in Quito at X Lo Alto. Our guide recommended it, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment the owner greeted us and explained each dish, we knew we were in for something special. We ordered the Pambamesa for two, and every plate was beautifully prepared and presented. The flavors were exceptional — creative, balanced, and full of local character. Thank you for making our final meal in Ecuador such a memorable experience!

Truly exceptional food, service and the view, wow. We had two appetizers, three main courses, and a few cocktails - everything was fantastic. Each dish was full of flavor with beautiful presentation. My family and I will definitely return VERY soon.
