We cross the whole of Boa Vista Island on the famous cobblestone road created by the farmers of the north, to reach the Ervatao nature reserve, an ideal place for the Carreta Carreta turtles to lay their eggs, which normally takes place from June to October. A beautiful beach and a gigantic and secular baobab. We then continue to the Morro Nero lighthouse and the typical colorful and flowery villages, where time seems to have stopped. Strong tugs were sent from neighbouring islands to try to move the ship, but it was stuck fast. It took nearly a year to unload the cargo and take it by mule to Sal Rei.'
