We came here for a birthday dinner because we were looking for a prix fix menu. And the ratings here were high. Long story short, it was a big disappointment. Course after course, the food was off. Think dry, unbalanced flavors (way too much smokiness, for 2 of the 3 savory courses for example). The service is good - the staff is the best part. The atmosphere is hip also a bit like an açaí place and the AC wasn’t working and we were quite uncomfortable. The redeeming quality is that the menu only cost about $20 USD per person - but even in Brazil where that is a good chunk of change, you get what you pay for. The food here is amazing. I had the vegetarian tasting menu and every single thing was fantastic. My husband had the steak, which he said was wonderful. The service was great too. Definitely recommend eating here if you are in Salvador. It was busy so worth making a reservation.

We went back to Jabú a couple of times during our trip to Salvador. It was a delight every time! The food is really tasty, flavors are perfectly balanced, cocktails are great and very original! And the staff was very friendly and professional, highly recommend!
