Went to this place for the first time with reservations for 6:30PM - did not get seated till approximately 7:20. That was very annoying and I was celebrating a 9 year wedding anniversary with my wife. The staff were very nice and we sat and waited patiently and they offered my wife more complimentary champagne which was a nice gesture. Didn’t make up for the rest of the evening. I requested a booth on the second floor in my reservation and instead we were seated in the bar table area which was not romantic at all. Wish they would have honored my request and I know it’s just a request but I digress. The atmosphere was chill and relaxing with little wick lights on all the tables which was very nice. Definitely had mood lighting going on everywhere upstairs. The food was good not great because some items were just very different. Carbonara with udon noodles? Wierd, good not great. Lobster spaghetti that was not spaghetti at all but more like linguine and tangy with cut up tomatoes all over it…. Not my jam but I ordered the Steak (ribeye) and lobster spaghetti. Had two bites of the spaghetti but the steak was super good. I asked for medium rare and it came out almost blue….. still a good steak but the chef needs some help back there on how to cook a steak. Overwhelming taste of propane in some bites as well. Very disappointed. Presentation was there on the steak but besides that, thumbs down. The sushi cone was phenomenal. The korean fried cauliflower was excellent as well as the truffle fries. Good, not great. Best thing about this place was the kind and super customer service oriented staff which I believe they hope makes up for the “decent” overpriced food. This was a wonderful experience! From the complimentary sparkling wine while we waited, to the delicious food and the stellar service. Sophia B was our server and she made sure we were well taken care of. We had the seabass, pork chop and ceviche. Everything was cooked perfectly and the sides complimented the dishes well. I’d definitely come back! Oh and don’t forget the dessert! The creme brûlée cheesecake is amazing. I always wanted to go to JOEY since it was a new restaurant in Valley Fair, and it consistently received positive reviews. The menu listing appeals to both me and my friend, and even though it was a bit expensive, it was worth it. Julia T. was our waitress and she was an absolute delight. I love that there’s strong consideration of cross contamination in the kitchen for allergies/diet restrictions for guests. I would happily go back after my first visit.

I would love to give 5+ stars! The staff is super warm and friendly. Thanks Julia T for getting us the special Labubu cake. That’s so cool- we had a lot of fun of celebrating my friend’s birthday here. Foods are great and presented nicely as well.

Celebrated my mom’s birthday here and it was her first time. We came for lunch and service was incredible. The welcoming champagne glass when entering the restaurant made my mom feel special, along with the greetings from every staff wishing her a happy birthday. Sadia (our server) and staffs were very attentive. When there was sunlight hitting our eyes from dining upstairs, a staff member immediately recognized our discomfort, acknowledged it and covered the roof with shade. When the sun passed, she re-opened the shade so we would enjoy the ambiance without having to ask. We love the vibe and the food was delicious. Sadia even brought a special dessert treat to celebrate my mom’s birthday without embarrassing her with singing in the restaurant which my mom appreciated since she does not like to be center of attention. Overall, a wonderful dining experience and Sadia was great!
