This is definitely one of the most authentic South Indian restaurants that I have visited in the Bay Area. The ambience is very warm, traditional and up scale. One needs to do booking in advance and still wait for your turn on reaching the place, as the restaurant is crowded even on a weekday. We ordered mini Podi Idlis, Dahi Wada, Medu Wada dipped in Sambhar, Andhra style Beni Masala Dosa, Uttapa and Masala Dosa for the four of us. The service was quick and friendly. Each item was authentic and very tasty with the right texture and flavours. The Podi Idlis could have been softer on the inside though. We rounded off our meal with Filter Coffee which was again top class. All in all it was a lovely culinary experience in a place which could compete with some of the best restaurants in South India! Superb place for Dosa. Great food and service. We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa. It was just perfectly done. They pay special attention to service. Staff were extremely courteous. We ended our meal with their signature coffee; I got mine medium roast with jaggery. Too good! The restaurant itself was very clean. They offered complementary Jeera drink and also served samples of their appetizer which was a very cool touch. Only area for improvement is that they have long wait. However, you can get on the waitlist in advance. Keep up the great work and please figure out to reduce wait time. A great place to experience South Indian Vegetarian dining— Idli, Dosai, Vadai, Pongal, etc. Highly recommend you make reservation before you start driving. If you have a wait time of 30-45 min, don’t worry. They may serve a small snack like ‘Mysore Bonda’ (deep fried dumpling) while you are waiting, to get your appetite going.😊 While you are waiting, please decide what you want to order. When your turn comes, you will order (and pay) for the dishes, and they will assign you a table number. You can order more later if you want. The food will arrive in a short time after you are seated at the assigned table. Presentation of dishes stands out, with a banana leaf liner below the food (South Indian tradition). They frequently offer complementary sauces (Chatani, Sambar) at your table, in case you are running out. They also offer fresh Sugarcane juice when in season. You can purchase different traditional South Indian savories and sweets to take home. While they can do take out, my recommendation is to enjoy this food freshly made at the source, before it becomes cold or soggy in transportation.

I came here with a lot of expectations. Great ambiance and the place has the aroma of a typical South Indian restaurant. The food was good no doubt. However it did leave me wanting a little more. Mini idlis were a little thicker and I have better chutney and sambar. Do try it out. However those who have had really good South Indian food may be able to share my sentiment.

Fast and efficient, friendly staff, lots of vegan options and clearly marked with letter V. I enjoyed my Onion Tomato Chilli Uthappam with added podi, I finished my sambar and they provided extra at no charge. Lots of prepared food to take home with you. Dosa deals between 3 and 5 pm!
