Top restaurant to visit when in Santo Domingo. One of the best restaurants I've been to. Service is top tier, feels like they've known you since always, always smiling and great comments while they advice you on what to choose. They restaurant is cozy and relaxed, you feel very comfortable and the food...Food's deliciuos. Everything they make is delicious. Pasta, soups, meats, fries, burgers and their desserts. I absolutely recommend going to experience what a good Dominican restaurant is. Would go back a thousand times if needed! Great food, great cocktails, great service Not giving the 5 stars on food because my Cochinillo was too salty. But everything else was the best food I have tried. A month ago, from Puerto Rico, we contacted La Casina to confirm if the same band we loved during our last visit would be performing. They assured us they would, but when we arrived, they had lied — it was a completely different group, and no one took responsibility or even apologized. The service was terrible. Our waiter was rude, inattentive, and completely unprofessional. Worst of all, my wife got food poisoning from the meal, and we ended up in the hospital that same night. After this experience, I will never return and cannot recommend this place to anyone. It’s truly disappointing, especially considering how much we had enjoyed it before. This time, everything — from the service to the food — was a complete disaster.

A month ago, from Puerto Rico, we contacted La Casina to confirm if the same band we loved during our last visit would be performing. They assured us they would, but when we arrived, they had lied — it was a completely different group, and no one took responsibility or even apologized. The service was terrible. Samosas were terrible, they were baked not fried (who does that), filling was not flavourful nor spicy like Indian food is supposed to be, the mango sauce was ok. I had to take them home and fry them, and still not good. They have potential but not quite there. We were going to eat there but the lights kept going out. Also the valet guys ignored us when we pulled up so we parked ourselves. Maybe we didn't look fancy enough. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
