An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Mario Restaurant! My wife and I had the most incredible meal at Mario Restaurant on June 9th, 2024, and it truly exceeded all expectations. We were recommended this gem by our hotel concierge, and from the moment we walked in, we knew it was special. Greeted by genuinely pleasant staff and immediately captivated by a stunning display of fresh fish, we were then seated right on the beach with an absolutely breathtaking view of the water. As we soaked in the ambiance, our waiter approached, and what followed was an masterclass in personalized service. He didn't just take our order; he engaged with us, learning our preferences, sharing insights about the restaurant, and then, with a heartfelt plea, asked if we trusted him to curate our meal. We confidently said yes, and we are so glad we did! He brought us exquisite appetizers, perfectly paired wine, and explained each dish with passion. The main course was a highlight: fresh lobster and pasta, expertly finished at our table. My fish and my wife's chicken were also prepared tableside with incredible attention to detail – my fish was even deboned right there! Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and truly amazing. For dessert, we enjoyed a delightful chocolate mousse/ice cream creation with fresh fruit – a perfect end to a perfect meal. This wasn't just a meal; it was an experience. The food, the stunning venue, and the impeccable, attentive service from start to finish made this one of the best dining experiences we've had in a very long time. I would thank specifically Mr yannis for his welcome and his service and the fact of putting us at ease, knowing that I am Muslim and I wear the headscarf and I was afraid of being treated in a slightly racist way but there it was quite the opposite, the food was just 🤩🤩🤩 I am very satisfied thank you very much and hope to come back there another day. and a big thank you to the boss's daughter who took us to the hotel with her own car.

Wow what an absolute find, beautiful restaurant lovely setting, staff amazing and friendly, kafiris was such a lovely host, and great knowledge of gluten free, definitely recommend 😀

I had a wonderful meal at Mario Restaurant, a local taverna that’s been in Monolithos for 40 years. Just a few meters from the sea, it offers great food, a relaxed ambience, and friendly service.
