The hike starts in Sigulda town and goes through the the biggest and most diverse nature parks of Latvia - "Gauja National Park". Your hike will begin with visiting the historical Sigulda medieval castle ruins before immersing into the world of small trails, views, forests, meadows and variety of vegetation like different plants, flowers and mushrooms. Distance of the hike is ~15 km (89% nature; 20% city). Terrain is hilly, but not difficult - foot paths and stairs. Total ascent during the hike is ~100 m.
