Food is slightly different than most other Italian restaurants. Good and delicious! One just needs to slowly eat and enjoy here. We had the anchovy starter, a meat Ravioli, the seafood aglio, a burrata pizza, the Bacalao Fillet and a tiramisu. Had a beer, a rośe wine and a medium bodied red cab. We enjoyed. Just wished I had more time to slowly enjoy the night. A cosy restaurant (30 seats) in Greenwood and it can get packed during dinner. A beautifully curated wine list is available at Bacaro that pairs wonderfully with the food. They have a unique deep fried dough pizza base (not greasy at all) that went well with the spicy Calabrian salami & burrata cheese. The calamaretti & zucchini fritters were excellent as well. The seafood aglio olio with peperoncino was done perfectly and we enjoyed it immensely. The Milanese deep fried veal was tender came with a trio of sauces. The basil sauce was outstanding and freshened up your palate. At the end of the meal, we were served a glass of complimentary Italian liqueur. The generosity and friendliness of the staff really elevated our experience in Bacaro. I would say this Italian restaurant is not the usual Italian restaurant you will find in Singapore. The taste, the ingredients, presentation of the food etc are different. The chef is an Italian and he curated the menu himself and hence probably brought in these authentic flavours. The food was actually not bad, but just not towards my expectations. The tiramisu with rum is really good. They are definitely not stingy with the rum. But I still find it too wet and I can't really taste any of the lady finger. The restaurant is very small, so I will recommend to make a reservation.

Wah, Bacaro quite solid leh. Went there last week for dinner with my friends, and the vibe damn chill one. Not too atas, but got that nice cosy lighting, good for small group hangout. We ordered the burrata, truffle pasta, and their pizza Margherita. The burrata super fresh, creamy until can die sia, and the tomatoes actually sweet, not those sour kind. The truffle pasta also shiok — portion just nice, sauce thick but not jelak. Got that strong truffle smell, can smell before the dish even reach the table. The pizza crust thin and crispy, edges slightly burnt, but that one make it nicer lor. You must try their tiramisu also — light and fluffy, got strong coffee taste, not too sweet. Service staff friendly, always top up our water without us asking. Price-wise not the cheapest, but okay lah for the quality. If you go on weekend, better book early, the place pack one. Overall can say worth it, will go back again for sure.

Food was decent, but a few dishes felt a bit bland—maybe that’s the intended style, but they could use a bit more seasoning. Lively & cozy atmosphere on a weekend. Staff were friendly, though it seemed like they might’ve been a bit short-handed during the dinner rush.
