I don’t quite understand the hype. Food was good but not exceptional enough to justify the price tag. We came for omakase lunch on a Sunday. One little annoyance at the start was that the dress code explicitly says long pants required for men but the staff didn’t enforce this. Lots of guests came in shorts. I would have definitely worn short pants as well had I known this. Either enforce it or just drop it altogether. The common theme for the food was that it was good but nothing to rave about. Portions are petty small. The steak for example was nicely grilled, rather small and a bit more chewy than I would have hoped. The sushi was good but unmemorable. The highlight and only really memorable part for me personally was the dessert. The Nobu team even gave us a complementary extra dessert since it was our anniversary. Trying NOBU for the first time thanks to Krisflyer-NOBU offer. Specially curated omakase menu and it didn't disappoint at all. Our original seat was at a table and we requested if they could sit us at the counter, which they kindly accommodated. All the dishes were unique in their own way. Some of them with the sauces that were so good that we were looking for a way to slurp it up. Maybe should have done it with the drink pairing, but alas, that we forgot. A big thank you to Vivien (hope I'm spelling the name right), for surprising us with an additional dessert because you saw us enjoying our meal and wanted us to enjoy your favourite dessert. And yes! It also became our favourite dessert and my favourite dish of the evening. this is our first time at Nobu and more than the food, we were really impressed with the service there! shout out to thompson who answered all our questions really patiently and recommended good menu items for us first timers 🥳🙏 the servers were really attentive to clear our plates too once we are done/ once they see that it needs replacing. drinks: 1) the sake was quite nice but nothing crazy for the price. food: 1) the signature dish: black miso cod is AMAZING as everyone says ☺️ the cod was super soft and flavourful, it was sweet and savoury at the same time. 2) we tried the singapore ceviche too and it was great but nothing too different from other ceviche. 3) we had the yellowtail jalapeño as the appetiser and the flavours are as good as how you would imagine it to be. 4) the tuna roll was SUPER GOOD in my opinion as they served up high quality cuts of tuna and the rice was super unique. dessert: 1) nobu cheesecake: as a cheesecake lover, this is super good! i find the gelato to be super interesting and refreshing. if you like cheesecake factory you are going to love this one ☝️ 2) [SPECIAL] anniversary cake: my bf and i were celebrating our anniversary and Nobu was so thoughtful to bring out an off-the-menu chocolate pumpkin cake for us and it was SUPERB. still thinking of it till today 👀 yea it was really good 😊 maybe we ordered the wrong sake or sake isn’t just our thing, but we would recommend skipping on it 😅 black miso cod is a must!

I loved the amazing lunch Bento box which also comes with an honest price. Food is plentiful and refined as usual at Nobu. Sitting at the counter you can enjoy a fantastic view on the preparation of the artistic plates by the talented chefs.
