Great atmosphere, great selection of food on menu from meats, seafood, starters. Long bar, festive atmosphere. Suitable for solo diner at bar or larger groups. Large restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining. Slight German flare. Enjoy! I had the best pork knuckle of my life at Altstadt! It was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside — and so big that I couldn’t finish it, so I took the rest home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent. It’s definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Namibia. Just make sure to book a table in advance, as it usually gets quite busy. Highly recommended! 🇩🇪🍖🍺 A cute little German restaurant. I had the best pork knuckle of my life at Altstadt! It was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside — and so big that I couldn’t finish it, so I took the rest home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent. It’s definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Namibia. Just make sure to book a table in advance, as it usually gets quite busy. Highly recommended! 🇩🇪🍖🍺

Altstadt Restaurant was absolutely a wonderful dining experience. Loved the ambience and atmosphere. The food was delicious and the customer service was warm, friendly and helpful. Definitely service with a smile. My daughter and I are both vegan and were given delicious options and generous helpings of them. Our partners were very happy with what they ordered, too. All in all, we walked out of Altstadt Restaurant feeling full and happy.

We went there to try the best German cuisine in the city but our experience was not the best. Nice restaurant, but unfortunately, the food was not as perfect as the food in Germany. All was cold, without taste and sznitzel, potatoes, and cabbage was a big disaster. Only beer and a nice waiter saved the situation. We were only two, and they didn't even have a small table to sit us outside in the garden, so we had to sit inside at a big table for 10 in the darkness. We had the impression that if you are not friends with the owner or waiters - only a tourist for one day - you are not too much welcoming here.
